Blood Group B

Each of these foods affects the efficiency of your metabolic process, resulting in fatigue, fluid retention, and hypoglycemia – a severe drop in blood sugar after eating a meal. Another very common food that people with Blood Type B should avoid is chicken. Chicken contains a Blood Type B agglutinating lectin in its muscle tissue. Although chicken is a lean meat, the issue is the power of an agglutinating lectin attacking your bloodstream and the potential for it to lead to strokes and immune disorders. Other foods that encourage weight loss are green vegetables, eggs, beneficial meats, and low-fat dairy. When the toxic foods are avoided and replaced with beneficial foods, people with Blood Type B can be successful in controlling weight gain. If you fall under this category, ensure to never skip meals, eat small meals but at frequent intervals and consume low fat/fat-free foods. Blood Group AB
People with Blood Type AB should avoid caffeine and alcohol, especially when you’re in stressful situations. Type AB focuses on foods such as tofu, seafood, dairy and green vegetables if you are trying to lose weight. Dr. D’Amato recommends avoiding all smoked or cured meats since these foods can cause stomach cancer in people with low levels of stomach acid. There is a wide variety of seafood for Type AB, and it is an excellent source of protein for Type AB. A few highly beneficial fish are mahi-mahi, red snapper, salmon, sardines, and tuna. Some dairy is also beneficial for Type AB – especially cultured dairy such as Yogurt and kefir.
Dr D’Adamo also recommends smaller, more frequent meals, as they will counteract digestive problems caused by inadequate stomach acid and peptic enzymes. According to him, when you have low levels of digestive secretions, food tends to stay in the stomach longer. He also suggests that Type AB people should pay attention to combining certain foods. For example, you’ll digest and metabolize foods more efficiently if you avoid eating starches and proteins in the same meal. Similar to Type A and B, people with Type AB shouldn’t skip meals and should consume smaller, frequent meals at regular intervals. Probiotics and prebiotics should form a part of your daily diet. Blood Group O
This blood type has a very well-developed ability to digest meals that contain both protein and fat. This is because two chemicals used by the digestive tract, an enzyme called intestinal alkaline phosphatase, and a lipoprotein called ApoB48 are secreted into the digestive tract in much higher amounts by people with Blood Type O. These digestive factors greatly enhance the ability of Type O to not only metabolize the cholesterol in animal products more efficiently, but also greatly increase their ability to heal their digestive tract and better assimilate calcium. However, these very same strengths come at a cost: in Type O simple carbohydrates, especially from grains, are more easily converted into fats and triglycerides.
Many grains also contain reactive proteins called lectins that can ramp up the Type O immune system, resulting in unwanted inflammation and autoimmunity. Type O diet focuses on lean, organic meats, vegetables and fruits and avoids wheat and dairy which can trigger digestive and health issues in Type O.
